| “Once again, President Obama has demonstrated that he simply has no new ideas for fixing the economy. When presented with a dire situation that calls for original thinking, the President has largely returned to his familiar playbook of bigger government and more government spending.
After running through nearly a trillion dollars on projects that turned out to be “not as shovel ready as we thought,” President Obama once again asks taxpayers to pay for a $447 billion leap of faith – promising that this time, it’s different. President Obama and Congressional Democrats seem incapable of grasping the root of our country’s continuing slump. As Einstein said, doing the same thing over again and expecting different results is insanity. Month after month of 9.1 percent unemployment should make it clear to anyone that the old ideas don’t work. If our economy is to recover, government needs to get out of the way. Government isn’t the solution to this problem. Government is the problem. President Obama should take immediate steps to rescind his Administration’s senseless, job killing regulations, and assure businesses that no new onerous regulations are just around the corner. Ending three years of uncertainty over tax and regulatory burdens will do more to create jobs than any new government program.”
